I use dryer sheets when I vibrate (and clean)brass helps keeps the media clean.
It hard to believe how dark they come out and filled with dust.

You can also cut them into patch size for cleaning your firearms

So does anyone else have any uses for them?

I rub them on the inside of my powder throwers and my powder measure pan to eliminate sticking granules of powder.

Keeps chiggers from getting in your boots. And one under the hat keeps gnats away.

Tying a few under the hood of a vehicle seems to prevent rodents from chewing on wiring and vacuum lines.

I throw a couple in my portable ice fishing shanties to keep mice out, same for my pickup camper.

They do a great job of preventing static in my laundry!

I rub them on measure hoppers to prevent static

Cut them into 1" strips and hang them in my powder measures.

After seeing this first post, I ran a few used sheets cut into strips in with my brass this afternoon. Simply amazing how shiny the brass came out and how black the dryer sheets were.

THANKS for a great tip!

I use new ones in my RV for over the winter storage. They go in every drawer and compartment. Works great for mice

I have been using dryer sheets in my tumbler for some time. The wife saves them after they are used in the dryer. Your right they come out black and my media last much longer.

Another tumbler user here. Another use is to take the static off laptops, monitors, and TV screens.

I use them in powder measure, scale pan and tumbler. Works good for keeping static down and in tumbler bowl to help control dust.

I have heard the tumbler trick for walnut media. Does it work with corncob too?

Use a new one (damp) to clean bugs off the front of vehicles when washing. They come right off!

Hey, those sheets used in your tumbler are black with the residue from the primers ! Handle with care ! That's lead oxide, and nasty stuff if not disposed of !

Just tried this in a batch of corncob that was ready for the garbage. Sheets came out black. The media was still black, but still working!

I wipe my powder hopper's down with them as well as the powder cans and anything else plastic coming in contact with my reloading. My house is dry in the winter, and even though my reloading room has no carpeting, I have to walk on carpet to get there. It became apparent to me years ago when my dogs were still alive, that there was a problem with static electricity. One would trot in, touch me with it's nose, and POW!

You may need to use the dryer sheets a few more time. I tear or cut them in two and use 2 whole sheets.

I cant believe how many the wife has saved for me

I cut up four sheets for that batch. I'm gonna load it up again for the next batch and keep going as long as I can.

I hang one from the back of my ball cap while mowing the lawn. Keeps the deer fly's away.

Been useing in tumblers for about 8 years, wont go back to not useing them. In a pinch ive used them as a pactch, but the ones i get(cheapies) when you tear or cut them, there is alot more powder residue than the expensive ones. so i dont use them at patches. Ive used them under the hood as well, work just as good as moth balls.

A damp strip of paper towel works also.

Not as good but if you run out at MIDNIGHT[smilie=1:

Ditto, the guys at the garage across the street from me said they us them in their combine for the same reason. That is where I found out about them. I'll have to try them in the vibratory tunbler.

Put one in the old sleeping bag when you roll it up for storage. Keeps out the old musty smell from storage.
