Hi all! I'm new to reloading and casting, so you'll probably be seeing plenty of posts from me if I don't find a post that answers my question. I didn't buy my bullet moulds yet so I want to be sure I get the right grain. I would like minimum recoil (as little as possible without it hurting accuracy at 50ft and not have to worry too much about a squib or fte) since my range only has 21 feet and 50 feet firing lines. I won't have any interest in maximum loads in the near future. I think I will be going for a 1 or 2 bullet mold. Thanks for your input in advance!

Ken I have a Lee 401175 TC. Have shot it in 40 and 10. Like you I don't really go for max loads. I like the mold. It feeds well in all 4 in those calibers. I size them to .401.

Awesome! I appreciate the reply. I just ordered the Lee sizing kit today, looks like the molds aren't in stock for a fair price right now.

I too found that the Lee 401-175-TC works well in a Glock 22 with both the factory barrel and a wolf barrel. The wolf barrel needed some work as the chamber was tight at the barrel end and the throat was pretty short as well. Loaded at 7 grains of HS-6 and it's a nice shooting load.

You are right though........there isn't hardly any 40 cal molds right now. I was lucky one night a week and a half ago and found a 6 cavity in this design on Titan Reloading web site and bought one of the four in stock and then 30 or so minutes later they were sold out. Someone over there must have found some in the back or something because I checked Titan before and there wasn't any.

+1 on the Lee 175gr TC

I have a Smith and a SIG they both shoot it very accurately.
