No. USPS doesn't permit shipment of loaded ammunition, primers, or powder. Those items need to be shipped as Hazmat, also -- that's going to cost you extra and require proper labeling.

^^^^^Partially correct. Loaded ammo ships UPS, no HM fee. Primed brass ships UPS, no HM fee. Boxed primers & pwoder, UPS + HM fee.

Are ya sure primed brass requires hazmat? I have ordered primed shot shell hulls many times with no hazmat.

When I order all my shot gun hulls from ballistic products they are primed and there is no hazmat fee.

That would depend on the quantity shipped which is defined by pounds of explosive needed to be listed on a manifest as HM Explosive. I do not carry explosives and have never done so but I do have a haz mat endorsement on my CDL and a book in my truck which lists all of this stuff. Interesting and I'll check on it and also stop at a scale and ask a DOT Cop about it.

As posted above post #3 no haz mat on ammo and UPS (big brown) trucks it. I have had three ammo shipments delivered to my house in the last two month and not even a signature was required. I believe you have to take the shipment to a distrubition center however not a UPS shipping center.

As I noted, primed brass is treated like ammo, no HM.
Out here, ORM stuff must be taken to a main UPS facility, not one of the small hubs.
Empty brass & bullets can go USPS FRB w/ no issues, do it all the time.
