I have the guide gun and Cowboy. I am looking for a plain base bullet for hunting. Which is the better? The 400 has a wider driving band while the 405 looks like it may tumble lube better. Both have wide meplats for thumping hogs.

The 400 was made for the marlin. It also comes out right at 420 with wheel weights. I've heard of some that did not come out at a wide enough diameter, but mine comes out right at .463. Works well tumbled.

The 457193 is a fine choice for the Marlins. As mentioned it is 420gr as cast with a 50-50 mix of WW and Pb. I've not tried tumble lube with it but it is a good candidate for pan lubing if you do not have a lube-sizer.
