Looks like Brock has got it down pat.He could probably tell you how to post the pics as well.I am too old to be computer literate.:)

KinkBreaker, I'm glad to see that. Brock's grown quite a bit since I saw him last. Good looking boolits!

Brock is using gravity to help hip pour better boolits. Nothing wrong with that. Safety wise, he should be on the other side (of the photo). Congrats on passing the flame.

you know he could use that glove to open the mold and save a bunch of steps.
i just pop my mold open with my thumb and slip the sprue right back into the pot from the plate.

Well done! 150gr. .30 cal?

its a .45 405 gr that pipehand loaned us,
run could you describe the sprue thing a little more to me?

just like it sounds.
instead of hitting the mold with a stick i just push the mold open with my thumb.
i don't let the sprue set up hard, just enough to sink in and turn grey, then flip it open.
i just slide the sprue right back into the pot right off the plate.
then tap the boolits from the mold, close and fill again.
instead of a little bump on the base, it makes a slight tear, but leaves the base smooth which really helps when seating gas checks.

Nice boolit fill out, looks like a good combination of steps.

KB, were you able to get some of that sprue plate lube I told you about? It helps a lot if you're just pushing the sprue plate with a gloved thumb. Should have sent you home with some, but forgot.

Pre-heating the mould while the lead comes up to temperature goes a long way. Try about 300-325 degs.

A long apron(double denim or canvas) and 8-10" work boots will keep him strong and healthy(what if the pot tips?). A hat, toque, or hoody helps(in case of a silver shower).

NICE. I would suggest a 3$ flip up face shield from harbor freight, doesn't fog up & gives ya some added insurance.

nice work, I kinda wish my son would have developed an interest. He seems to like to watch once in awhile but not really engage. Keep Brock interested as long as you can the good moments go by far too fast

Generally that happens with phone pictures. Sometimes you hold it one orientation and sometimes you flip it left or right. Your phone corrects the orientation when you view them on the phone. If you copy them to your computer first, you can align them.
Movies running sideways are worse.
