I know this has been kicked around here many times, but.........What is the content of chilled lead shot? Is this an effective way to harden alloys? What is the WW:shot mix in #s? It is easier for me to find shot than 50/50.

Are you referring to 50/50 solder? Lead shot is not a source for tin if that's what you're looking for. I believe it contains about 5% antimony.

Magnum shot runs approx 5% antimony and does contain arsenic for hardening. It can be added to other alloys to promote heat treat hardening. 50/50 solder can be used to create harder alloys from pure lead but mixtures of lead and tin without Antimony and Arsenic do not Heat treat. Just depends on how you intend to use the alloy. 1:16 or 1:20 Tin:Lead makes a good pistol bullet without needing to heat treat. WW alloy or others with Sb/As can be heat treated to a bhn of roughly 30-40 depending on exact content and make good bullets for rifle.
