Fellers I don't have QuickLoads and can't seem to find much pressure info so if anyone has some time and wouldn't mind. I wanted to ascertain pressure data using Unique in 45/70 loads. Can't find any data from the manufacturers and don't have any old books to double-check. Anyways, 45/70 using 11/11.5/12gr. of Unique, Lee 405h.b. boolit, R.P. case and primers, Felix lube and O.A.L. of 2.550 with no wads or fillers. I understand it will be estimated and not exact. Many thanks in advance. Audie...the Oldfart...

I have Quickload. I plugged in your info and Quickload says: For a 45-70, 11.5/Unique/400 grain lead bullet. Predicted velocity is 1070 fps with a pressure of 12825 psi. I use a seating depth of .300, start pressure of 1000, and 400 gr lead lubed bullet. A jacketed 400 grain would not be much different but with a start pressure of about 1600. Bullet diameter used was .458.
Barrel length used was 24". Max allowed pressure would be 28,000. Hope this helps.. Email if you need more info.

You guys are incredible. Kull may I assume you wouldn't mind if I print up a copy of the data for my records? I did notice my boolit seems to be casting a tad long at 1.070 probably due to a bit of flashing on the nose. May have to trim that a bit with the Forster if I can figger out how to make it trim something that short. (blade won't contact the nose at present) Again, many thanks to you both for the excellent return. Audie...the Oldfart..
