Here's another from Tom Quigley, Secretary of the Antique Reloading Tool Collectors Ass'n.; 50% of the proceeds to our site. Best offer by midnight, GunLoads time (GMT), Sunday, August 12. The #457438 is a gas-checked version of the original carbine and pre-1881 Trapdoor rifle bullet, a 385-gr RN similar to the plain-base #457124; four grease grooves, including the space ahead of the GC. Mould is used, but in excellent shape, no significant dings or scratches, and closes tightly; single cavity in the older small blocks, no handles (I could rustle up a pair, but that would be extra).
(Remember, if you are thinking of using this one in a Marlin '95 or Winchester '86, that John Mahlon Marlin insisted on flat-nose boolits in his tube-magazine rifles, having had magazine KABOOMS in Government tests of the Marlin prototypes; so here, you're on your own.)
Get'cher bids in!
