Ok i am working on opening up an account on both auction arms and gunbrokers. Question i have. I was using both paypal and ebay. With ebay going totally anti gun. Once my auctions end on ebay thats it for me. However i need to find a place that can accept credit cards as easily as paypal did. i have been looking for a while now however most places require a merchant account then charge some hefty start up fees along with monthly fees. These fees would make it a lot harder to make a dollar. So question has anyone found anything that even comes close to a paypal. I guess the best part that i like about paypal is that people would email me on things that they knew i had. So i would create an invoice on paypal and send it to them. I have not found an establishment that i can use so far. Unless i go check and money order only. However that would take soooo long and i would loose a lot of business.

I have taken PayPal in payment for items sold on AuctionArms and GunBroker. At least to this point PayPal has not objected to paying for gun-related items. I don't know what their latest policy statement says and I don't care, I'll keep using them until they stop it for whatever reason...

This was sent to me by Auction Arms;
We strongly disagree with eBay’s stance on the 2nd Amendment in general and specifically in their lackadaisical abandonment of their long and faithful customers. We think it is unconscionable. But hey, it’s their right, and we love them for helping us continue to build our business!

While eBay may have disdain for the 2nd Amendment rights of it’s customers, we here at Auctionarms believe you should be able to sell any legal item you may care to, especially firearms, firearms parts, ammunition, ammunition components and reloading gear…how else are you going to defend yourself against mad men and the evildoers who stalk innocents in those politically correct “gun free” zones?!

We believe you should have the right to sell these items in a free and open market. We believe you should have the right to be free from fear of abandonment by a online sales venue that you've invested your time and money in to create profit for them and a reputation and goodwill for yourself.

We have proudly built our business and reputation on firearms. We have for almost 10 years now. We will continue to do so. We will not abandon our customers at the whim of some misguided, liberal minded, political correctness. That is our pledge.

We invite all abandoned eBay seller to move your firearms, firearms parts, ammunition, ammunition reloading components and reloading gear immediately to AuctionArms. Show eBay you can abandon them as quick as they abandon you and move to the BEST place on the internet for firearms and firearms related auctions!

We will make this solemn pledge to you. WE WILL NEVER ABANDON OUR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE SELLING LEGAL ITEMS, NEVER”.

We pride ourselves on customer service. We freely publish phone numbers through our “Contact Us” link that appears on every page. (find a customer service phone number on eBay!). We have real folks in the good old USA to talk to when you call those numbers. We care about our customers and about the rights of our customers to fully enjoy their rights under the Second Amendment.

i also recieved that email. However i know its going to be coming soon. So we need to find another company that will allow us to take credit and debit cards. Similar to paypal but that will be gun friendly. Same time a lot of people do not want to deal with paypal. I mean if you were to open up a website to sell merchandise then there must be a way you can collect on credit card payments without having to drop a lot of cash.
Thats what im looking for.

Check your local bank, they can fix you up for that. There may be some restrictions, limits, or minimums, and for dang sure they will deduct the usual 3% or 4% that credit card use entails, but they can help you.

Guys, take a look at GearPay.

http://www.gearpay.com/

They say they are Pro-sportsmen. I haven't used them yet but I just signed up there.

i think gearpay is the thing to use but not now. as you need to sign up and its an online transfer only betweent bank accounts. i just dont think that everyone that wants to buy something from me is going to want to pay by transfering funds. now on the homepage is says bottom right they are in the process of adding credit cards and debit cards. once this goes through this will be a lot better

Amazon is working on a product to compete with Pay Pal... I'm SURE they will take CC/Debit...

What about Bidpay? From what I understand this is a potential alternative to Paypal. Not sure if it has all the bells and whistle though.
