I seem to have lost my notebook of reloading notes when I moved, and I know I've done this before, but I need to work up a load for these boolits. The mold is a Lee 356-102-1R. The boolits I have cast weigh in around 106 gr. I have checked every manual in my library, and cannot find a load.

Based on all the data I have available (from sources I trust), I have determined that the "safe" range for this round is 2.5 - 2.8 grains of Titegroup. The COL is .976", based on the dummy round I have.

This data jives with the marks on my powder dispenser, which was used for 2.7 gr. I just want to double check these numbers, because the last thing I want is to have a gun blow up in mine (or worse yet, my wife's) face.

According to the 4th edition of the lyman Cast boolit handbook.

380 102gr .960 OAL - This is specifically for the lee 356-102-1R Boolit

Titegroup Start at 2.1gr 736fps Max 2.4gr 880fps

The lee manual for 100gr Jacketed

OAL .980

Titegroup 2.6 793fps max 3.0 912fps

I would say work up the load again. Guessing or filling in the blanks of what you dont KNOW is always a bad idea.

I would be inclined to start at 2.1 or 2.2 using a .960 OAL

Two loads I have for my Ruger LCP use that boolit at a weight of 104gr and .950" LOA with a WSPM primer and Win brass. The Titegroup 2.5gr load chronos at 810 fps and the 3.0gr load chronos at 880. I consider the 3.0gr load as a top load for all temps.

Sorry, had a typo in the OP; my powder thrower was set at 2.5 gr.
