The latest issue of the American Rifleman contains an excellent article titled "An Optical Glossary" which offers definitions of the terms often found in reviews or manufacturers ads.
If you have found yourself wondering what some descriptive term means, then you will learn a lot from reading this article; I certaiinly did.

Been an NRA member for 43 years now, Life for over 20. I've switched subscriptions a few times to American Hunter and American Gaurdian. But have come back to good ol' American Rifleman, which I think is the best all around informative magazine.

Julie and I now get both Magazines thanks to the group here, we are enjoying the ones we got so far, ( first ones ) I like that article also, Nice 45 Colt on the both covers.
