Ok help me out here, what kind of rifle (shotgun?) did Steve McQueen have at the beginning of the movie Nevada Smith? It looks like a ML of some type but it appears to have side hammers and over/under barrels.

It appeared to me to have a very large rifle type front sight on over/under barrels with the bottom barrel having a larger bore, but I might be wrong. The stock was of a type found on MLs with a brass crescent butt plate and what appeared to be a brass patchbox on the side but I could not see a ramrod.

Over/Under combination rifle-shotgun, by “F.WEISS PORT JERVIS N.Y.” and so marked on .44 cal. rifle barrel which now appears smooth at the muzzle, both barrels are faceted at the breech for 9” then turn round, the rifle barrel with a large, added ramp sight and an adjustable rear sight. The walnut stock, with checkered wrist, mounted in German silver, backaction locks with very graceful hammers. A well-crafted piece. Used by actor Steve McQueen in “Nevada Smith” (Paramount 1966), “S318”. Est.: $5,000-$10,000.

Not much to be found on that thing! I have searched the name "F. Weiss", F. Weiss port Jervis NY, the gun type and about anything else I could think of and the only thing I have found so far is that the gun in the movie was sold or maybe just appraised back in 2007 at $10,000! I would like to find a bit of history on this unique firearm so any more info anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.
