packed up the wife and 2 dogs and headed out to west tx.
the CAF museum was great.
one of the guys there was a old cobra pilot and we got to shooting the breeze..mini-gun.. rockets and the 40mm.
they had a old cobra outside and it kind of made me feel old but it was good to see a old friend.

I don't know if it is CAF but one of the B-17s is going to be giving rides in Clarksville IN this Sunday. I would love to go but $350 is a little steep for my pocket, now if they would let me fly right seat might be a different story. I think I'll hold out for one of the AT-6s. One of the groups that does that has them serviced 20 miles from my house. Might be able to trade out packing their emergency chutes for a flight. As I said in a previous thread it's hard to beat the sound and feel of those big radial engines, Thats flying!!!!
