I found this classic video today. It is timeless so it is here in OUR TOWN.

He is from the city I live in. That speech is posted in almost all of the schools here. South Knox middle school has it on a bronze plaque.

They don't make them like that any more. We don't watch television any to speak of because there is nothing on fit to watch anymore. Thanks for the memory of a great man. As a kid we always watched his show.

Great man, Great speech! A very funny man who used humor to make some very serious points in his time. I wish we had more like him.
Thany you for the post Bill.

Great man! One of (if not the) greatest comedians ever! I had the pleasure of meeting him in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada many years ago when we stayed in the same hotel. I was eating breakfast when he came in with his crew and sat down. All through breakfast he had that whole table (and most of the dinning room) in stiches with an ongoing run of one liners. Before I left I thanked him for the entertainment.

Bill
I got to hear him say that live along time ago and it still brings tears to my eyes that so few really understand what we have here and are so intent on washing it down the sewer of socialism.

I hate to say it but that was so out of place in today's society. I don't think you could get that much patriotism out of a politician today and certainly not our present president.

A man who could roll you upside down with laughter and never use a four letter word to do it . Times have changed . Ken
