Shot some disc brakes today with my 30 carbine. No wonder frankenstein wanted them banned. Lol
WDWW aged 2 weeks @ 50 yrds
By no means under powered.
61519
Lee 95 gr PB lead rn sized .310, speed green, 1850 fps
61520
Top hole same load, left hole factory FMJ rn
61521
I had already hit this area twice(1 Factory FMJ load,1 Lee RN) then nailed it with a Lee soup can (wearing hornady check and speed green) and blew the chunk off.
Notice kool lead splashes. Second pic has lead splash from top hole ricocheting off of center hub.The soupcan has a huge splash.
These loads did just as good as ss109 bullet with penitrator.

Cast iron will break. Regular steel probably would have dented.

Brake drums and rotors are fairly brittle, especially after use.
