I guess this Is a question that is asked many times, and the answer is probably
try it and see. But I have to ask anyway.
Last year I did a lot of black powder shooting and my sizer is filled with my home made lube. The lube worked great in my White rifle with 460 Gr. Pb slugs.
I was wondering if my mix would work for my 45 acp boolits? :-?
The mix is bees wax, Mutton tallow, and a little paraffin with a little non petroleum oil that sells under the name lube and loosen. This oil is made from seeds, and like I said is a none petro based lubricant.
Soooooooooo what do you guy's think??

Is there a problem with none petro based lubes for smokeless powder?

I think I'd have no second thoughts about trying it. Should work fine and .45 ACP is very forgiving.

It is sure worth a try. The only thing I see is that the lube might not dissolve with normal smokeless solvents. You just need to try it.

Not near enough speed in the .45 to worry about. I use my BP lube for all my .48 and 44-40 bullets, of course, the 44-40's are usually shot with BP!

..............In a 1879 Argentine contract rolling block (43 Spanish) I used beeswax and Vaseline as a lube, with smokless and WW alloy boolits to 1600 fps. No problems. That was a 32" barrel/

Hey if it 's a flop I will switch. I guess it's N. B. D.
