For some reason I can't post in the swapping and selling section yet.
Anyway, I have a very small but reliable supply of wheel weights - maybe a 5 gal. bucket, max, per month. I've simply got too much going on to start another hobby (casting), so I'm going to rely on those already "in the know" to get my bullets.
So, would anyone be interested in trading some wheel weights (lead sorted - some stick-on's too, also sorted) for some pre-cast bullets? Say, a flat-rate box full a couple of times per month. Mainly for .38 Spec. and .380.
I have no idea what the "exchange rate" on this would be, so y'all will have to provide me guidance on that.

It wont let you post in S&S until you have been a member for thirty days and 25 posts. Looks like you have the posts covered. Maybe the 30 days isn't there yet? Otherwise you should put this under S&S and possibly Boolit exchange. I would definitely think that arrangement would be considered by more than a few. I have more than 1000#s of lead so sorry I am not one of them.

Good Luck

I would be interested. Are you talking about sized and lubed blts, or just as cast, as time would be a consideration depending on 2 cav. molds or 6 cav mold production? I would think, depending on weights you want, that about 5 lb. of wheel weights for say 100 blts as cast might work out. Your thoughts via private response pls.

I've done this before for a few guys locally. I go 2-1, lead for bullets. I figure I am doing all the work, so it seems fair. I don't cast for 380 anymore but do for the 38sp. So 1000/152grLSWC would be 44# of ingot alloy or if raw ww, fiogure 15% waste, 52# of ww in a flat rate box. So it's doable. You could also just sell them for $1/# delivered.

I'd be willing to do some trading. I cast a 125 grain boolit, can size to 357" or 358".

I will trade for lead. I have about 250 different designs to choose from.

Your location in your profile might lead to a local trade. Just a suggestion.

I have done this before. 10lbs of as cast 9mm bullets in trade for 68lbs of raw range lead. I got about 45lbs of ingots after cooking the batch of range lead. Worked out to be a good deal for everyone I think. The second batch I think I sent the guy 13lbs or so because his range lead was better than I expected it would be.

You may want to slug your bore so you know what size bullet you'll likely need before you have someone make some for you.

Thanks for the responses, gentlemen - I've sent and received several PM's, so I think I've got a couple of hookups that will work.
I also added my location to my profile.

Where is Wilson? I'm in Hampton Roads, VA and Trey is just over the border on the other side of the Dismal Swamp. If you are in the North East of NC maybe we could hook up?
