"Pot Scratchers" in tumbling media

I just had a wild brain idea. Has anyone used the Pot Scratchers in their tumbling media. I found some steel ones a Dollar General. These are the ones that are very course nothing like Brillo pads or steel wool.
I was thinking they may work like SS pins.
