found a thread on painting camo with sponges and spray paint. I just painted my wifes new toy. Taurus pt145 pro. 45acp. this is her v-day present from me. I did this with sponges and acrylic craft paint. Took 15mins start to finish.

Here is a link that I found online. They use spray paint, I used the 2oz bottles of acrylic craft paint from walmart. $.58/bottle and the natural sponges also found in the crafts section at walmart. Used very little of the paint. might have to do some more stuff for her now cause I have so much paint left over.

I hope she likes it. That's as close to tactical pink as I think I've ever seen! Nice!

My wife loved it. Wants me to do a couple more for her. My buddys are already talking about bringing their coyote guns over and having me do them (different color).

My girlfriend saw this, and of course wants it done to her taurus 738. What colors did you use for the pink?

How easily does the paint come off? Is it something you could remove with Brake Cleaner?

Point being you might want a different Camo Pattern for some other usage, and being able to wash it off would be a great feature.

I realize that if you want it on there for good you'd use Cerrokote, but sometimes you change you mind.

i used cameo pink, candy pink, and pink parfait. started with lightest and went to darkest. one of them kinda turned purple. as far as break clean, im not sure I would want to spray it on a plastic pistol. not sure about stripping paint back off.

Your workmanship looks professional. As good as if not better than the ones at the gun shop. I'm building a CJ7 maybe this would be a option for the paint!
