WOW. Wonder how many people are gonna ignore that and keep it till they blow up a gun? If it was any other caliber it wouldn't be much of a problem!

I'd be more worried about them selling it (at a big markup) to others who are unaware of the recall, but hard up for ammo.

Question: For those that, for whatever reason, never see a recall notice; what happens when their boom stick blows up?

"extensive evaluation"??

Does that mean somebody's gun blew up and they're suing Winchester?

Best case, they call Winchester or the gun manufacturer seeking compensation and have an exciting story to post on the net.

Worst case, a chunk of receiver transits their cranium.

Plenty of middle ground between those extremes...

Is this what most shooters refer to as "factory ammo?"

Someone might need to post a picture of this "factory ammo" fad because I'd reckon there are a fair number of us here that have a hard time recalling what the stuff actually looks like. . .

Factory ammo: it's sorta like .22's, only bigger. Sits on a shelf (at least it used to!) where we buy guns and components for our own ammo. Often comes in attractive reuseable packaging.
OTOH all my ammo is factory ammo, I own and operate the factory!
