I was able to place a backorder for Eley .22lr thru Sportsmans Guide for .06/rd. Backorder date of April.

For forum members in NY: According to NYSAFE Act, ammo backround checks don't take effect until April 2014. Also talked to SG and they said that if I was able to place the order then they would ship the ammo to NY.

So if you're looking for ammo purchases, try this site.

there seems to be localized spotty availability.
our LGS has x54r,x39,10mm,45acp,9m and all the hunting stuff on his shelves.
223 and 22 lr seems to be the stuff he didn't have.
dunno i didn't really look that closely.
he did have couple of ar type rifles on the rack.
nobody even looking at them.
one guy was swapping a rifle for a 22-250,a couple was looking at a 500 S&W together.
the other guy was scope shopping,and i was looking at a 44 special vaquero.
this place is the "tactical" type store around here.
he sells mostly guns and generally has ammunition but no reloading stuff.
