i noticed with bigger molds, laddle casting fills out the mold better as you can pour more lead in one shot vs a pot.
i decided to drill out the spout on my lee 10lb pot as well as attempt to stop it from dripping.
i filed the needle valve to a 30-40 degree angle for more surface area closing off the valve. i forgot to take pictures, but it worked fairly well to stop the leaks. i need to file/shape it more though.
i also drilled out the spout to 3/32's for better fill out and it worked like a charm!
