solder contents

I would to make sure about the tin in 60/40 solder I think the 60 is the percentage of tin in mix, because I bought 15lbs today at flea mkt for $40.00,which I think isnt a bad deal. thanks for any info.

You got it- 60/40 is 60% tin. Yep, not a bad price. If you look around, you can get pure tin for about 5$ an lb.
