Shoulder crushed... this is a problem. I'm using brand new Hornady Dies. As per the die instructions, seated as desired, backed out seater plug, slowly threaded die in until desired crimp. Well, i was looking at the neck and not seeing any crimp kept threading it in slowly. Eventually I noticed what was happening. :???:

I had that happen and I was setting the die in to far. If yours is the one where the seating plug is oart of the crimp die then it is that the plug is shoving everything back. During the crimp process. I backed mine off and all is good. I also have recently come to the understanding that cast boolits don't need a crimp. Just enough to take the belling out if there is some left after seating.

don't even need to take the mouth flair out.

Neck relief in die too small for cast boolits, if so hone it out until it clears your loaded case neck diameter plus a thousandth. That, or you have a .308 Win seater die.

Good idea, my 308 seater works and crimps good! Will try that. And it sounds like I may need little to no crimp. Good new all round!

I love this place!
