Anyone know where I can get a flag or banner that says something like proud life member ect ect.
To make a long 10 yr story short, I got a FIL thats far to the left, and absolutley hates the NRA, because they dont agree with the likes of the *** we have in office this term.
Needless we got into it again this morning, over a dumb email, because he can't and doesn't know how to respect other peoples views, and he thinks I'm a gun nut...heck i'll take that as a compliment.
But I'm looking for something like this to hang on the door to the shop...just to p*ss him off, when they come visit, so I can tell him you're on my turf, you can keep your mouth shut!

Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Don't Tread on Me flag comes to mind.....LOL
You have it easy being a FIL, atleast he isn't direct blood related. My BROTHER see me as your FIL sees you and I can't talk to him about anything gun related or politics because "I am a HATER"......I'll pray for him if he ever "needs" a gun and doesn't have one. My own damn brother, it breaks my heart.

I looked on fleabay and all I saw were rebel flags with "Come and take it" stamped on them, and this:

Your local office supply should be able to make a banner for indoor use. For outdoors, you need to find a sign maker.

Thanks Trey. I'm really looking for something to just get under his skin, and get him on a roll so I can let him have it. He's one of these that think the far left do no wrong and it's all the far rights fault and the NRA's on everything. This is an old arguement between us thats going to escalate now with Sandy Hook. I'm sure when they come back thru and stay for a few weeks from FL this spring it'll, or I'll have to hear his rhetoric.
What I'm really wanting to do to blow him out of the water, is have that sign displayed, or flag....hear his comment and tell him...there's 2 life members in this house and we both voted replublican in the last 3 elections.
It's only me and the wife in the house now...that'll cause him a coronary.

I thought of that, as a last resort if I cant come up with the idea I have in my mind.

Did you by chance check with the NRA? They just might have NRA signs & banners. The one at our club just happened to come from the . . . NRA.

EDIT to add: Very odd, just checked the NRA store and they don't have NRA flags or banners. Am I the only one that thinks that's very strange? The closest they had was the "Don't Tread On Me" flag with NRA printed on it and NRA window decals.

I know how you feel. I have six sisters and four of them hate guns. They don't like my view on politics either. john

Bingo. I never thought of the recruiter site, just went to the NRA store. I guess that's why Czech makes the big money.

The "Don't tread on Me" flag pretty much says it all!

Wouldn't it be great fun for him to sit down to dinner each night at your table, graced with the NRA recruiter's "JOIN HERE" tablecloth?

That right there is FUNNY...it brought up a mental image of a friend whose beliefs are left of mine by a fairly large amount. :2_high5:[smilie=l:[smilie=l:[smilie=l:

I wouldn't waste my time or energy with this. Simply stop having him over. Problem solved, less stress.

easy said but not easy to do. I got a wife for one. But the other fact, if we don't go head to head on politics then we get along better than he does with his own sons.
We maybe see them a total of 4-5 weeks a yr to begin with, but I get royally tired of his antics and he's "horrified" if not for a better word, because I own guns...and this is from a guy who use to hunt up till last yr. But he sees the 2 guns he had as a tool...not works of art or to be taken care of like I do.
I'm waiting for his bs on the gunshow loophole..so that way i can bash him for selling his Savage 30-06 last yr at a garage sale!

My wife just sent me a pic of this Tshirt...man do I need one..I'd wear it esp for my FIL. If anyone knows where i can get one of these shirts at..please let me know!

I would add that a properly displayed U.S. flag with a POW/MIA flag, and a Gadsden flag with the NRA flag SHOULD get your point across without him even being able to say anything against it.......

.....and you could even toss in a "Liberty or Death" in there somewhere too......
