Well I went down to pick up a size die for my 4500, a top punch, and a lee shell holder. Walked out with the three for 48.79 after tax. When I was checking out I noticed a sign on the counter. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/01/27/udybehyp.jpg

Went to the local store on Thursday to see if they had any small rifle primers. I have about 350 now and with only a bolt 223 that was all i needed, then got a AR15 and decided that would not lase very long. They had some Wolf SR and was 57.95 for 1K. High but least I have some now.

It's just like the price of gas. If we keep paying these price gougers, then pretty soon this will be the "normal price". I guess I can say don't buy and the price will come down, but then I don't need anything and won't for a long time. I feel sorry for you guys that are getting F'd in this situation. Just my .02, Rod

Problem is "Where" not paying that price. Its all the people that are "casual shooters" that shoot 2 times a year fueling this! They don't care, they figure there gonna Ban certain things and they'll get theirs while they still can! They should write a letter or two to there reps to fight for there second amendment rights. Instead they just pay the gouger and when its gone its gone!!

Try and find any .22 LR. When you can it is far from reasonbly priced.

Hmmm...I've got 3 unopened boxes of S&B JSPs that I found during fall cleaning of my loading bench. Trading material, maybe? (Of course, I'd have to peel the "$3.99" stickers off the end flaps.)

I'm pleased to say I haven't purchased ammo in years. Like 7 or 8 years. I do need some 38 wadcutter ammo, though. Just for the brass, really. I want to have some real wadcutter brass for the K-38's. We'll see how things look soon. Mike

Went to a gun show yesterday. Stood in line for an hour to get in. AK's are $1000. Most AR-15's were $2000. Saw a couple for $1500. There was some 223 ammo going for $.50 a round and was selling like hot cakes. I found two cans of H4895 for $24 a can. I bought them both. There has been none available locally lately.

I recently dug out my old K-31 and thought about trading it off toward a Krag Jorgensen, but didn't see one. I decided to keep it and try loading cast for it. Found 3 boxes of Norma 7.5 x 55 for $29 each. I had also seen 4 boxes of Prvi brand earlier for $22.50 each but it was at the opposite corner of the very crowded civic center and I would have preferred the Norma, as I already have 40 rounds of Norma brass. I asked the vendor with the Norma if he would take $75 for the three boxes. He said No. I asked him what he would take for the three bozes. He said $87. I said "That's your asking price. Can't you cut me a deal on buying all three at once?" He said no. I told him about the other for $22.50 and said I was thinking about walking back over there. He just shrugged. I asked him one last time if he was going to let me walk. He said yes. I walked. Got the 4 boxes of Prvi for $80, $7 less than three boxes of Norma from the other guy. Bet that old boy carries those three boxes of ammo home with him tonight. They looked like they had been carried around a good while already.

I'm thinking about casting up some boolits, lubing them up, and selling them to some of these guys. They were paying ridiculous prices for components up there at the store the other day. Like $40 for a box of a hundred jacketed bullets. Cast up 500 .451 round nose boolits, and sell them for $120-150.... Would make a killing, and some of these guys would buy them...
