Question about 45 vrs 450 size dies

I have never owned a 45 lubrisizer but recently traded for a 450. I know that the 45 dies do not have the o ring and the 450 dies do. But will a none o ring 45 die work in a 450? I have a reason for asking. Thanks, james

James, I have one of those older dies (lacks both the O-ring and gently tapered throat), which I successfully use in both my #450 and RCBS LAM II. It helps to wrap the top section, i.e., where the O-ring should be, with teflon tape. Also, as there is no tapered throat, be careful when starting a[n unsized] CB.

Thanks Maven. I have an older 45 die in .429 that I thought I would use if I could. It is for my Ruger Vaquero in .44/40 which does not do well with .427 or .428 boolits and I thought I would give the .429 a try. James
