Enlisted the niece to help decorate the hanger a bit. I like the nice additions hanging over the office door--brings just the right dash of color and attitude to the place..

In exchange for Sarah's expert interior decorator advice and direction as well as holding the ladder steady for me, it was only fair to load her up and escort her down south to Granbury and home of my favorite BBQ joint, The Rib Shack. Even let her drive for a bit.

All in all, a great afternoon.

If Sarah shoots I'd say she was just about perfect.

I taught her how to shoot back before Christmas and have taken her to the range since. She shoots awesome, has zero flinch, loves my S&W 686 and generally just makes one ragged hole in the target.

We agree it must be the family genes.

Gear

That was like one of the first things I removed after we got the plane. Took it off on the old one (182), too.

Non-airplane people think they can use it haul their entire weight up into the cockpit and the seat. Reality is it is simply a guide and something to help you maintain your balance as you're climbing in. Have had too many of them ripped out in the past--and not one passenger ever offered to pay for replacing it/repairing it.

Kind of like the "NO STEP" placards you put on the wheelpants. I swear, you could have the "NO STEP" lettering cover the entire wheelpant and there will STILL be the numbnuts who plants their big hoof right on it to boost themselves up.

I thought no step meant there wasn't a step.........

idiocy amongst people is tiring to deal with, isn't it? Don't even want to know what repairs on an aircraft run.

Good deal. Congrads on a lovely lady and a great day. I particularly love the Gonzales flag. Iffn you ever get the itch to come on down for a couple days, you can land on our place. Rent would require to grease my old man up for about at 30 second flight. He used to have his single engine license. Hasn't flown in 30 years. Thanks for posting. Looks like a REAL nice time.

We have a Rib Shack in Springfield MO but no pretty lady like that. It is a good place to eat here too. You'd like it.

Don't be surprised if I take you up on that, only I'll take your dad up and it will be for considerably longer than 30 seconds. We'll head south over the coastline and buzz the beaches.
