I made a run to prudhoe and was about 50 miles north of town at about 1:30 this morning when I came up on a pickup pulled over next to the snow burm. I stopped to see if they were having trouble and an ooold timer came out of the woods and up the bank with a martin box and a martin.

He thanked me for stopping, but was just checking his traps. The old guy had an old tundra in the back of his pickup, and probably just ran his traps on the road that late to avoid traffic.

I just thought it was neat to see an old timer out trapping, and having luck too.

go to the top where the search thingy is.
the outdoor area is under or next to that.
depends on how zoomed your screen is.
click on that and it will take you there.

A tundra is a snowmachine, at least we call them snowmachines here,

I think they call them snowmobiles in the other parts of the country.

You can tell folks (checheco's) who have never lived in Alaska because they call snowmachines snow mobiles.
