Hello helpful friends!
1.) I am having an issue finding info on what is a top-punch? I think one came with my Mihec mold and I am not sure how and where to use it?

2.) Also I am Pan-Lubing my Boolits but what a mess the excess lube is. anyone know of an easy clean way to lube using this method and removing the majority of the excess prior to sending through the Lee Sizer die?

3.) and wgen installing a Gas check do I lube after the GC is installed or before?

#1 Top punches are made to fit the nose profile of the boolit. Used in a lubesizer like a Lyman or RCBS that sizes base first.

#2 Use a cake cutter to cut the boolits from the pan.

#3 Apply gas check before lubing.

#2. Cake cutter?, wont that still leave excess lube on the Boolit?

Not if your cake cutter is properly sized. A fired cartridge case makes an excellent and low cost cake cutter.

Are you using just enough lube in the pan to fill the lube grooves?

Wow! Duh!!! that makes perfect sence. and yes I only use just enough lube to fill out the groove's. I has been using a funnel that was about .460 ish. and as the boolits ran through it the excess lube caked the inside and got all over the nose of the round.
