I am wanting to cast a 200 gr bullet using the Lee molds. Is the h&g clone single lube grove swc better than the tl multi grove swc or vice versa? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

i prefer a single lube groove.
i do have a couple of t/l boolits and like them.
but the single lube groove boolits are more in line with how i size/lube.

ohh catsooter has some lee 6 cav's in the swappin and sellin section for some actual H&G 68 clone molds he has repaired.

I would have to say both molds do well. Although I always prefer to use standard lube groves over tumble lube. One way to look at it is what equipment do you have and what would you have to buy. If you don't have a sizer then go for the tumble lube it would be cheaper to start with.

I understand that thought, but if you get the conventional lube groove bullet mold, you are good for both the tumble lube, or the lube sizer. After all, the TL bullet design came into being after the conventional lubed bullets were tumble lubed. Why spend the money twice?

I have used both styles in cal .38 .44, and 9mm.

I can tell no difference in anything but looks.

Those TL bullets sure are UGLY.
