Hey guys for anyone looking for a sling. I saw the idea on youtube so I gave it a shot. Here is what I came up with and after a few retries to figure it out it wasn't all that difficult. I made it a little long on accident but it isn't amything I can't work around.

I have been thinking I would like to have slings and a belt made the same way. How wide did it come out, and how many feet of cord wound up in it.

Its about 4 inches wide and took around 52 foot of cord to make. I already have it in the gun safe upstairs. Next time I get into which should be this evening I will measure the width for ya. Its about 3.25 feet long. It took 12 or so feet for the length then the rest was for the width to make the webbing. Took me most of the day since I was fighting off a 2 yr old. Lol.

My apolohies. Its only 2.5 inches wide. I was thinking of the firdt run I tried. I didn't run the cord right.

I'm thinking 2.5 would be a good width, too much even to use as a belt.

My suggestion that the video doesnt show and it is hard to put in words. Is to make a few passes then walk it up. Don't oull it so tight that it shrinks in. I hope that made sense if not I will try to put up a few pics when I make one for my other rifle in a day or so.

The camera never picks up the color correctly. It's woodland camo and a light grey.

I made this one for a friend. Its woodland camo and desert tan(I think).

I've found the Solomon bar weave to hold up the best. I replaced the strap on my 28# tool bag, that's on my shoulder daily, with one. It still looks brand new over a year later.

Dragon those are nice. I plan to make my next one have two colors. I just have to research it and figure out how to do it.
