Okay, I'm going to take a chance that this is such a place. I have some 41 caliber 220 grain half-jacket bullets I want to load for the 41 Rem Mag. As you probably know, these bullets have no cannelure. Should I crimp on the jacket or just above it? If this question is inappropriate, then I hope the moderator will just delete it.

Tatume; crimp them over the radius at the forward edge of the half jacket, you cannot roll crimp on the jacket itself, it will bulge the case and they won't chamber.

Tatume ; by the way you word it, crimp JUST ABOVE, look at those bullets closely the half jacket is crimped to the lead core, crimp right over the one that's there. I've shot literally thousands of those Speer half jackets over the years, I like them.

Thank you fellows. That's what I needed to know. I hope now the moderator will just kill off the thread so I don't get into trouble.

Why would you get in trouble? Asking questions is what this place is all about, if asking a question got you into trouble here we would all be banned.
