I heard somewhere that the TV "Pancho" was the radio "Cisco," a dozen years earlier.

I used the line "only the Shadow knows" when talking to a 27 yr. old guy last week. Of course he didn't have a clue what I meant. He also had never heard of Lum and Abner.

As a young boy I used to stand on a step stool in the kitchen so I could put my ear up to the radio and listen to the Lone Ranger. HI YO Silver, Away!

The Lone Ranger hooked me on classical music for life, Bugs conducting a symphony and Fantasia just set the hook deeper.
Green Lantern,( now outed as a *****), Straight Arrow, Sgt.Preston,The Inner Sanctum, Henry Aldrich,Our Ms . Brooks, the Shadow Knows, and the other similar fun kid's programs have gone by the wayside.
PC **** has made Song of the South a dirty movie, things are just going downfast.

Sgt.Preston (of the Yukon),The Inner Sanctum, Fibber McGee and Molly, Jack Benny, Arthur Godfrey show -- with the blue bird of paradise song. Almost forgot those. I think Flash Gordon was on radio also. Kids these days got no imagination. You think the martian invasion broadcast would work now that we have the internet and TV?

Pancho, Diablo, and Cisco, fond memories of my youth.
Not to mention Zorro, and Richard Diamond (Dick Powell) or the Dennis Day show.
