5 years ago today, I married Jim- the best thing that ever happenend me. He has been my best friend, my protector, my encourager and my support. I have learned so much from him - not the least being how to shoot my model 19 and develop a love for rimfire benchrest competition shooting!

I waited 50 years for God to bring the right man into my life to marry - it was worth the wait.

Happy Anniversary Jim!!

I wonder how many guys can claim they've been married five years and never had a fight with their wife? In that group, how many are married to women that like to shoot? In THAT group, how many men are married to women that buy rifles for them? You wanna REALLY narrow this group? Out of what's left, how many guys are married to women that can give a professional chef a run for their money in the kitchen?

Am I bragadocious? You dang right I am, and with good reason! [smilie=w:

I have been married to my wife for over 30 years and we have had only one fight. It started the day we got married and is still going. Not!

Congrats to you Jim and Janet. May you have many more.

Jim, this past December me and my better half was married 38 years. Now, if you look at my size I believe you can tell she can cook. Old homestyle country food at that. My wife has never said anything about my hobbies, she has bought me a pistol and a rifle in the past. The last time I went to a gun show, I came back with nothing, she asked if the gun show had been canceled. But my wife doesn't generally go shooting with me. She has upon occasion, but not a huge fan of target practice.

But I concede on that never having a fight thing. After thirty-eight years, you gonna swap some words at times. [smilie=1:

Congrats to both of you, I wish you both great health and many memories together.

My wifes got the last one nailed down. I keep her mad at me....that way i get a meal that blows away the best chefs around...otherwise, if i hear her humming in the house, i know it's fish sticks and french fries nite.
So I think of something to get her po'd at me...she gets po'd i hear clanking and clanging and grumbling going on in the kitchen...and soon later..I'm eating like a king!! The whole times she's in the kitchen I got this big sh*t eating grin on my face cause i know whats going on!!

This March 14th, will make 50 years married to a wonderful gal. She taught herself to cook, and did it professionally for over 8 years.
When we wed, both of us together didn't weigh 190. Lets just say we both enjoyed eating.
As far as fighting, we haven't, since I learned to say "Yes Dear".

In this world we live in sometimes a person can't get along with themselves, So when two people can get it right--well that's great. Enjoy all time the good Lord gives us.

Congrats Janet and Jim, A woman who puts up with a man who spends his nights in the woods is a keeper.
My wife bought me one rifle, one shotgun and one pistol, she thought that was enough for any man, I had to buy the rest myself. 40 years many fights with her and twice she backed me with the Applichian assult rifle (94 Winchester) I can tell you from experience that any man that ticks her off is taking his lif in his own hands.
