would that be a good package to buy to get started casting boolits.its $245

It's a pretty good way to start, but before long you might want to go with a bottom-pour pot, but that would only be another $75 down the road. The Lyman kit is a good value.

what about the big bottom pour that cost around $400 is it worth it do you gain that much production

Don't have any experience with those, but the Lee is good equipment. Maybe someone else can speak to the expensive one.

over a 4lb pot you can't get a ladle in yeah by about 15 lbs of useable alloy.
the lee pot only holds about 16-17 lbs btw

buy the rcbs sizer and a lee pot.
get the sizers and such as you need them.
you'll use them forever.

I started with the master casting kit by Lyman. The mini mag dipper pot is a nice little starting piece. I have dipped a lot of boolits and still use it from time to time. The kit is relatively inexpensive and gets you some nice equipment that will last a long time. I would definitely recommend it.

Yeah, the master casting kit is what I started out with. Eventually bought a bottom pour 20lb pot from Lee. But running 4-6cav molds, you can drain that pot quick!
