Well Ladies and Gentlemen, I finally made it to 25.

Wasn't sure I was going to make it this far with all the motorcycles and fast cars but I DID IT!

Not having a great day due to some should-have-been-controlled circumstances involving pets and vehicular damage, but apart from that, I'm pretty proud of myself for making it this far.

Back in the 70' s a friend of mine invited me to a big birthday party his dad was throwing.
I asked why such a big celebration for his 25th birthday?
Later when he found out himself, he said that with (his) wild living his dad was celebrating the fact that he was still alive.
He never made it to his 27th birthday.

I was proud to make it to 25 once. Wondered why my father took a wait and see attitude about my outlook on my life. Today I'm not what I thought I would be valued at by the VC folks. But I talk to my Dad every week now. My father-in-law too. That is worth much more to me now.
