New cast boolit section

In keeping up with the Mission of Gunloads and Cast Boolits we are working on doing some expanding on our forum with some new sections. Because of the diverse amount of members here and the need for more sections we have created this:

It's NOT fully active right now, more in the testing phase. This allows all members of cast boolits to post in there just like here, the only difference is it's seperated from the MAIN Cast Boolits forum to keep this place dedicated to Casting Boolits.

What i'm asking for now is ideas and thoughts on this new section from the members, good and bad.

It is kinda busy. I would just leave it with the headings of hunting, fishing, camping, knives, and cannons.

One thing to consider adding although not 100% Outdoorsman would be something for survival and prepping, every time the topics come up on Cast Boolits there is quite a bit of interest and an active give and take.

Hhmmm . . .Do you mean replacing this forum with that one or adding the new one to this forum. As an added forum it would be quite interesting, I'm sure there is plenty of knowledge here in those categories just as there is with boolits and many of us could learn a lot. Replacing this forum would be much like loosing an old comfortable pair of slippers, sad and just not the same.

No chance in heck this place would be getting replaced.. This will just be an added section. There will be a link up top that says "outdoorsmen". Clicking that link will take you to the new place.

There's just a tremendous amount of knowledable people on here and my goal is to exend that knowledge into other areas while keeping Cast Boolits untouched.

I will also take some member input on how to define these sections.. Such as "clothing" and "all about hunting clothing". I need better wording and will take input from members on that. Also if you would like to see an outdoors type section on there feel free to ask.

Good addition. It seems that it might draw people into the shooting/reloading/ hunting arena if they are into camping or backpacking for example. I don't think it can hurt if we are able to mentor more shooters and shall I say "gun people" from the new addition.

Bring people from the shooting / hunting industry and introduce them to casting their own bullets as well :)

Good Idea. My suggestion would be to have a Military Surplus subcategory as a lot of folks use MilSup for camping and hunting. Another might be Outdoor Survival Gear.

How about a Gator section, ya know the 4 wheelers used for hunting & fishing trips deep into the forested wilderness?

If you are going to do a fishing section, there has to be one on Where-When-What so our casters know what to look for when they go somewhere new and what to take with them. As an old retired outdoor writer (wondering where his muse went), this is basic stuff besides gear, of course.
