First thing, thanks for all the help guys.

I made about 1000 cast boolits with this mold in one shoot. They all drop at .357 and I sized them to .356 for my IWI 9mm.
Problem, they all weigh from 129-131 grains. Being impatient I bought 3 x 1lb's of Win231 before making the boolits.

Hodgon's site load data for lead only goes up to 125gr lead and the other books stop at 125gr.

Anyone ever had this problem or can offer some advice.

I was thing of starting at 4gr of win231, COL at 1.100"

Thanks

Greg

I have this problem all the time. As a rule at least for myself , if I can't find a load for cast i'll find one for the same weight as jwords then back down at least ten percent. As far as COL I stopped going by the books and load for the gun or magazine. As always play it safe.

That load should be fine. Load a few, then see how they cycle. Refrain from loading several hundred, then finding out they are too long. Don't ask me how I know.

I agree on trying out a few first. I might know a person who loaded up 500 that were just a lil to lite to cycle. I still havent used them up yet, um well they havent.

i'd start out a little lower.
with my 125's using 231 i'm at 3.7 grs.
3.6 shoota a bit low and 3.8 shoots a bit high and is on the verge of leading depending on the lube i use.

your boolit's diameter plays a part here also i'm sizing to 358.
