Reloaded a second trial of 23.3 Re7 with Lyman 280473 boolits after getting pretty good results in my handirifle on the first trial. Using CCI LR and mix of Frontier and R.P brass.

These were all supposed to be 3.125 OAL which works well in my rifle but I measured all of them and found 4 with a shorter OAL 3.114-115 and all four had a deformed tip on the boolit, blunt that I didn't see when I inspected the boolit before reloading :(

Should I just pull those or are they safe to try. This is not the top of the Lyman/Re7 load for the 270.

Thanks. Joe

No worry about pressure. I'd just keep them separate and use them for fouling shots.

I have used 22.0 grains of RL7 under the RCBS 150 grain 270 boolit. Chronograph says 1805 fps from my 24 inch Weatherby VG.

Thanks for the idea. I need to make some boolits using this mold with a harder alloy maybe straight WW to get a 130 wgt. boolit. The best my range scrap will do is about 125-126 for that mold. Joe
