So I recently ordered the Lee .356 120gn TC 6-cavity mold. In preparation for pan lubing, I also purchased a fair amount of LsStuff's 50/50 solution to melt down and use for that.

I'm using Accurate No2 powder, for the record, and casting straight wheel-weights, water dropped.

Has anyone used this mold for 9mm that can give me some sort of idea as to where I need to seat this round in my casing?

Also, is it going to be absolutely unnecessary to size it after pan lubing? My chamber is measured at .3565 and my only sizer is for .356. (note: I have successfully shot many round of Lee .356 124gn TL that cast out at .358-.359 with no issues)

I just got that same mold. I would think you could seat the case mouth just above the lube groove, as long as it will chamber in your gun. I cast up about 600 of these, but haven't got to load any yet. Think I'll try 700x, or red dot.

Will you be sizing them? Or shooting them as cast?

Mine drop at .357 using wheel weights. I load all of these bullets to 1.010 OAL and get very good accuracy. They function and feed well in all 3 of my 9mm pistol as such. Best accuracy came with Titegroup.

We shoot hundreds of these boolits at steel challenge targets. I size to .356 in a 450 using White Label BAC lube, load it over 3.8gr titegroup and 4.0gr bullseye. It has been shot in 5 different models of S&W and a couple different Springfield xd's with no problems. I seat to 1.050" OAL. I use 2 of these 6 cavity molds to make a pile of boolits in a big hurry.

Have shot several thousand of the 120TC through my XDm's and 1911's. Great boolit. For all my guns I use 1.055" OAL sized .356 with Lars CR lube. I also use the boolit in 38 Super high end loads with good results.

I use that mold and like it. My Oal length if I remember right is around 1.06, while my purchased hollow point projectile made rounds are 1.10. I seat them so the lube ring is just under the top of the casing. My mold drops them out right at 356.5 so im happy, and using them as they are without sizing.

I have that mould and size to .357. Depending on the size of your "as cast" boolit and your particular chamber you may be able to use them unsized. Some brass you may be able to do this and some you may not. You just need to experiment with some dummys and check.
My oal is 1.056" and they chamber and function fine in a S&W Shield and my cousins P94 Ruger.

@Cherokee: That's a pretty picture there...I've got the same mold but haven't had a chance to use it yet...that picture makes me wish I didn't have a mountain of work to do so I could get my mold out, cleaned up, and get casting!

LOA is set to match your bbl throat, which varies a lot.
