LEE has these on their closeout list. Any comments on this boolit? Seems like a bargain... TIA, Mark

The only comment I can make is that I bought a batch from someone a while back, and haven't tested them through a revolver yet but they don't feed for nuthin' in a leveraction!

Also, check the amount of powder space you have with that boolit before working up a load - it appears to me that more of the shank is in the case than other SWC designs.

I'll get around to testing a load of 9-10 gr. of Unique one day soon...

Tell ya what! That Boolit, made of water quenched wheel weights, lubed w/ good ole alox [yea I'm a bit behind, but, it works], over 15 gr. of Blue Dot [work up to this in your weapon], and have some really good clean fun!!! Only been using it since the 80's!!! HTH.. MV

I got that mould for $29 off their closeout page a while back, and I love it! I've been casting it out of rather soft scrap lead, quenched, and have been lubing it with a homemade blend of waxes, lanolin and Alox that works with minimal leading at ~1350 FPS over 19 grains of WC820. (My bullets actually weigh 273 grains.) They expand to 7/8" in squishy mud. They feed fine and shoot OK in my 1894 Marlin, which doesn't like Keith bullets at all.

I say grab it if you can.

I just went and took a peek to make sure they didn't have a TL version out.

I have that mold and shot that Boolit --- Shoots and loads fine in my smith M-29 8 3/8ths. --- Load is about 18grs. of 2400 --- I hurt my left hand with an over load of 25grs. of 2400 and the 255gr. Boolit although that 25gr. load was a tack driver--- I have suffered with this left hand for over 10 yrs. now and has me shooting much lighter loads (have I become a wimp or just a little smarter) any how that Boolit is fine grab that mold if you so desire and enjoy ---- Mag

I don't recommend the 25gr. load --- Heavy recoil and cases stick

I'd think that's at least a proof level load.
