I ordered a mold from Graf's and this is the picture it shows for Lee 358-125-RF:

57162

Yet this is what Lee shows under that number:

57164

This is what Graf shows under the same number in a six cavity mold;

57165

so which would it be? Graf's pic wrong? That's what I'm thinking. But hey, as long as it shoots.

The image looks about right. What are you confused about exactly?

I think Graf's pic is wrong.

The top pic is bogus. I have that mold in 6 cavity and it's the spitting image of the bottom 2 pics. This was my first Lee mold for boolits (I have some Lee 2 cavity ball molds). I was very pleasantly suprised how good this mold is after reading so much about Lee quality. This boolit works super in my girlfriends Ruger .357 LCR. She puts the laser dot on a bullet hole on a target and then commences to shoot these 125's into the same hole at 7 yds.

The old bullet is what the first picture shows. The two other pictures that show a longer nose are the current bullet. It is one of my favorite bullets in 9mm sized .357/.358 over 6.8 to 7.0 grs of BlueDot, and works fine in .38 Special as a lighter load.

The old bullet was intended for .38 S&W. Don't know when the changeover was made.

My Lee 358-125 RF is like the bottom two pics. I use themin my .38s sized .358", and sized to .357" I shoot them in my 9mms...

the top picture is what i use in my 38 and 9mm.
the bottom is what they make now.
should probably break down and get the new one, it would leave a little more lead out of the 9m cases.
too bad they don't make a 158gr version that would be a good one in the leverguns.

I thought Lee made a 358-158RF?

I recently purchased this mold in a 2 cav for my brothers girlfriends 38, it looks like the bottom 2, which is what I expected.

The 358-158 RF is an awesome boolit and works great with plain based gas checks. Another member here sent me some 358-125 RF to try and they are the new style. I will definitely pick up that mold in the future. For now, I use the 356-125 2R (mine drops at .3585) seat plain based g checks, and use a flat nose punch in the sizer. I effectively reform the boolit to flat nosed if a choose to :)
