It had been along time since I had heard these words. It was long before I went through nasty divorce with my first wife, long before I was sent to Afghanistan, and way before all of our current political troubles or seeing an unarmed man take 2 to the chest and one to the head at the hands of the feds. The wife got me the first and only season of the show Fire Fly. When I heard the opening theme song, "The Ballad of Serenity" and remembered the words, I realized that no mater what happens in the near future, I am and will be a fee man, because "they can't take the sky from me."

So maybe these words below will be meaningless to some of you, depending on what kind of hand life has dealt you, or maybe they my just inspire you some to never give up on what is right, and just.

"Serenity" ties it all together nicely. This was a great show, part of why the wife and I watch Castle, Nathan Fillion rocks.

What a great series, written by a brilliant writer, with a cast of great actors, totally ruined by brainless studio execs. Summer Glau(sp?) really rocks at the end of the movie.

All-time favorite series here. The demo recording of Joss Whedon himself playing the theme song on guitar is a good one, too.

I think anyones whose been to war, and the quagmire and calamities, it can produce will totally relate to that song.
It brought back alot of memories.
