Hate to hear this. My mom went through the same thing about a year and a half ago. It was a small fracture near the socket. They inserted a screw in her pelvis. But she did good on healing. Took a bit, and they recommended she go through rehab on walking and had to use a cane for a while. My thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy and good recovery.

Hi team. Thanks for the kind words. Back home now. Mother is doing well. Very alert and in good spirits. She will be in hospital for a good week if not two then will have to learn to take things easy for quite some time until she has healed. Mum has two speeds unfortunately. Stopped and full throttle. It's a fine family trait...... She was better than I expected and was very surprised to see Kiera and I so the trip was worth it for the look on her face.

Thanks for the update Jeff. I know what you mean about the "two speeds", my Dad is the same way. He never could stand to sit still.

Best wishes, we'll be keeping her in our thoughts for that speedy recovery.
