Did Ideal/Lyman make a Perfection mold for the # 25720 that would allow the caster to make any weight bullet between 57g to 86g.?
Thanks!
Jim

Check the castpics page at the bottom of the page. A number of old catalogs there.

In answer to your specific question, the answer is a definite "yes." Back in the days of serious reloaders, Ideal referred to the "gun crank" who was a well informed enthusiast who knew what he wanted. The Perfection line of moulds was developed so the crank could try different weights with the same mould. Each bullet weight added or deleted a grease groove and band to change the weight by increments. They weren't available in all calibers, but I know that they had 25s, 32s and 38s, and I believe 40s and 45s as well. I have a very early example marked simply "25-20" and a 32-40 set that is marked for the basic code number of the bullet/
