It's hard for me not to do during the giving season. And once again it happened that I came home with a new addition. Last week I was stopping at LGSs to observe the buying frenzy and thought, hmmm, I don't have a hi cap pistol and the next thing I know I'm filling out a yellow sheet for a new Glock 19 with 3 mags.

My only other striker fired pistol was a S&W Sigma which is long gone because I couldn't get used to the trigger pull. But this Glock is really something to shoot and I haven't lost one peice of brass yet either.

I also found an AR upper receiver and assembled a upper from some parts I had. All in all a very nice Christmas.

Not really Christmas present, but I bought my 1st and probably only AR15 on Nov. 7th. Since then I have purchased primers, more powder, and other reloading materials that were needed.

I was just at walmart and found a blackhawk bipod with no wrapper or instructions. With a price tag so old it had faded out so I asked the manager and he said heck 25. I agreed cause it was normally 63. Looked almost new. Like maybe it was a return or something. All I know is the 06 now has a bipod.

A used Dillon 450. I will set it up as a dedicated 38 Special machine. It will look right nice between my two Dillon 550's and the Dillon SDB.

I tend by myself gifts all year long. I guess the NRA Basic Pistol course I signed up for counts since I did it on Christmas eve.

Oh man. Momma told me I had nothing under the tree, I'm fine with that, it's about little kids anyway and we had a ball.

Then she smiled at me and said since I didn't throw a fit I could buy another gun if I wanted to....IF I WANTED TO??????

I was on the web so fast it made her head spin and ordered yet another Rossi model 92 in 38/357....a 16" barreled saddle ring carbine and all the springs and parts to make it feed like it should! Should make for a nice woods carry to go with my 24" barrel Rossi!

Woo-Hoo!

I sold some safe queens earlier this month at the LGS, and decided the holes left in the safe were inappropriate. I filled them with a Like-New pre-RemLin Marlin Model 1895 x 45-70 and ordered a Uberti Cattleman SAA x 4-3/4" in 44-40 WCF to caliber-match my '73 Winchester of same chambering. The 95 comes home on 01-02-13 after Gov. Moonbeam blesses the transaction, the Pasta Colta shows up at some future time. It was allegedly in stock (1 of them) when the dealer called the distributor in my presence, but we all know how that can play out. Distributors can be azzhats, and Tom, Mark, and Shannon at Guns4Us have always been totally square with me.

What did I give "me" for Christmas? Nothing, Christmas is not about "me". Its giving to others.

Arntzen echo target with stand. Soon it will be "BOOM.............................................. ............Ping" and a big old grin.

I technically didn't buy it since the wife let me pick my present for being such a good boy this year and I never told her what I wanted or needed until the last minute.

Ditto. But I have to buy some wood to fix some furniture the rest of this week. I don't think that counts. Well, I did get myself a kit to make an ice cream scoop, but that was planned for a while. Gotta turn the handle now.

Decided I needed a 22 revolver for grouse and rabbits while picking mushrooms in the forest so I now own a Charter Arms Pathfinder. Besides a Christmas present from me to me I was celebrating a good report from doctors. Only 50 rounds through so far but I like it.

A Lee C312-185-1R new style mould, Lee C358-140-SWC mould, A hard pistol case for my Ruger Super Redhawk, and a .358 lube sizer. Well, actually I ordered the moulds and sizer, but my better half wrapped them and I couldn't open them until Christmas.

Nothing. I didn't want to spend the extra money and off had it wouldn't have been spent on me.

My wife did just fine in picking out what to get me, I have no need for more.

Didn't buy anything for myself.

Spent a baby fortune on gifts for the family, though.

My 18-year-old son made out pretty well on the firearms side of things, as I bought him a Win94 in .30/30 for Christmas.

Since I survived my second bout of cancer and a stroke this year, my best present was just being here to share Christmas with my family.

I did send out an order for a bunch of military history books on Christmas day with a gift card that my wife gave me for Christmas. they should be here in a week or so.

After my son's birthday in January, I will be saving up to buy the required equipment to start casting my own boolits. With at least eight different handgun calibers to cast for, the initial outlay in moulds, sizing dies, etc will be a bit expensive, even after buying a melting pot and lube sizer.

My plan (subject to change) is to start with one caliber and one style bullet and add from there.
We will see how it goes.

First step is to buy Lyman's book on bullet casting.

Two more molds and lots of lead. And one of "the perfessor's" nut drivers for my Lyman 450. I am really impressed with that little item!
Thanks Keith! Got to spend the day with kids and grandkids, so that was the best present of All!

And it was a White Christmas nere in N Texas! That was great too, as I think it has only happened twice in my life. All in all, a Great Christmas!

SWMBO always complains that I am so hard to buy for, so I said I would like one of these Multitools linisher/sander attachments for my grinder.

She asked how much, I said $200, she said too expensive! :(

So I bought it myself and of course spent WAY more than $200 on her as well.

She got me a Kindle, which is nice, but although I like to read, rarely get time to do so. She on the other hand commutes 4 days a week by train, so has an hour a day to catch up on her reading.

For a late Christmas present, I will be buying a Martini Cadet rifle from a club member. I've already ordered the mould from CBE. 8-)

Hi...
It was truly hardest on my family.
While I am not 100% and probably never will be, I am able to work, hike and hunt and pretty much do whatever I please. I do have to make concessions to my health that I never had to before.

Still considering the alternative, this ain't too bad!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Ours isn't quite over yet, as my youngest daughter and grandson will be returning to town this weekend and then we get to have Christmas all over again with them.

Well I did not get myself anything for Christmas but I did give my oldest son my 45 LC rifle and a 45 LC six shooter. I trade some lead for a holster to fit the pistol and it came in on Christmas eve. He has carried them around with him since then. So my gift to myself is the joy of seeing someone so happy and I had part in it. Just wish my other son was home to spend it with the family. I did send him some flat rate boxes full of items he could use over in Egypt.

A Lipsey's Ruger flattop Bisley 4 3/4" in .44 special. We spent Christmas in CA and before we left I looked online for brass and a 429421 mould and both were in stock. I waited to order them so they wouldn't arrive to an empty house. Now they're both out of stock so I've had to back order. Such is life in a panicked world.

I'll be looking forward to a group buy for a better quality mould for a similar boolit.
