Yeah, then see if those that like to sing that song so much, show up to help you shovel!?:coffee::(

I'd much rather shovel snow that try to recover from the violent storms that hit Alabama.

If it will hold off until the day after tomorrow we will be home again. We are down on the coast for Christmas at our daughter's house (my step daughter). We will see our other daughter and a couple of the grand kids today and head home tomorrow morning, so I hope the roads are OK. Had a great Christmas so far hope you all had the same!!

Mag Fan, the last time we got anything like that here in the south was back in '93. I just turtle in. It snow flurried just a little this morning. I told the better half, "Well, the store shelves will be bare of milk and bread." Personally, I wouldn't care if it snowed knee deep to a GeeRaff.

Go 25 mi north of Evansville, this is what we got, go down by Evansville and they barely got 4 or 5 inches if that.

You can be happy because you do not have to shovel your way out of the driveway.

Just remember to put BLACK sweaters on the dogs or they will be shoveled away with the other white stuff.:kidding:

It arrived here around 2pm and hasn't stopped coming down since. Guess the snowblower will be getting a workout.

Started here around 10 this morning, had about 8" by 3:00, when it tapered off, so it was putting it down pretty fast. Lots of wind so it drifted some as it fell, but what is on the ground will probably stay put as it is pretty wet and heavy.

+1 mag, I'm from W OH, same story about last year. This one snow fall surpassed all of last years combined, and I'm sure a good portion of the year before... Just wished I had remembered to pick up stuff in the back yard, not looking like I'll be able to find anything back there for some time to come!

At 11 pm last night we didn't have nothing coming down, at 5 am when I got up I looked out and there was an easy foot on the ground and still coming down...so back to bed I went...

Is that on the lines of ....I don't have any leaves in my yard..they always blow over to the neighbors...maybe you're getting the neighbors snow 20 mi away??

It snowed here in Christmad Day! Only the second time that has EVER happened. Only about 2", and it will probably be gone tomorrow or the next day, but the kids loved it and made Christmas even more special.

You guys enjoy your show. I'm OK with it only snowing once or twice, maybe every other year. I dont want to shovel!

Smooshing the snow down??? Just try that on my driveway, 3/8 mile long and a couple spots that are 10 to 12 percent slope. I get to plow, plow, plow. Could be worse tho I guess, I could live in town. JW

We just got back from the coast. About 6" in the yard when we left Christmas eve and only about another 1/2" since we left. Roads real good all the way, with just the odd section of compact snow. Good to be home!!!

I got about 6 inches here. Yesterday, I dragged the Toro out of the shed, got it running, and threw my back out but good. I have spinal stenosis and shouldn't be doing it ayway, but... So I called a fella who was doing it for me last year when I was in physical therapy for the problem. He promised to come by. A no show all day, and the sun melted it some, now it's gonna freeze. Just a minor irritant, but it's the little stuff like this that makes gettin' old a real pain.
