View Full Version : Now I have done it. Marlin 336 disassembly/reassembly boo-boo
Well, removed the lever, bolt and ejector from my 336. Swabbed the barrel and started the reassembly process. I managed to close the bolt all of the way and now I cannot open it to get the lever inserted. Any tricks anyone can share?

Mark:
Use a padded cleaning rod to push the bolt out again; it won't take much pressure.

Mine says "Tayk Lizzerd peeces, is gift!"
A plastic armorer's tool, small end, or any non-marring tool can be used to gently pry the extractor claw back from where it locks into the barrel and the bolt will slide back.
