I saw the ad in one of my shooting magazines and immediately thought, "That's the Latest Thing to sell to people." I'll keep my bronze jags and patches.

I was thinking they might be good to stick in the end of the bbl if you've got to swim the river.

I just don't know why they are needed? Are you supposed to fill the bore entirey with solvent, let it sit, the squeegee it out? I would think a dry patch would still be useful to get the junk out of the corners of the lands and all.

Nope, wont be getting my money.

Dirt Daubers are the "State Bird" of Missouri !Every firearm in my closet(s) or leaning against a wall has either a plastic glove finger over the muzzle or an ear plug in the muzzle.

or an ear plug in the muzzle.

That's a great idea, thanks!

That'd have to be one heck of an ear plug...

i would say that when loading the ear plug comes out the rubber glove just shoot through it

Maybe they serve a dual purpose. Stop up the end of a C&R so you can fill the barrel with some homemade "Ed's Red".

Great idea for a burst barrel. Hope you are kidding there Jailer and Junior.Half the ear plug sticks out so you'd have to be blind not to remove it before shooting the firearm. Plus it probably wouldn't hurt a thing to shoot it out. It's not like the plug is jammed tight in the bore.

what i think he is saying is the insect fills your barrel with mud and it becomes a barrel obstruction

so an ear plug of or a glove finger keeps these things from getting in

A guy on another forum kept a 22 in his barn , went to shoot a ground hog and found he had a barrel obstruction , mud wasps had filled part of his barrel and was living in it

lucky it didn't seem to hurt the marlin model 60 , a rod to drive the stuck bullet out and a cleaning and it was ok , then he added a piece of tape over the end of the barrel.

Reminds me of my fishin' buddy's comment about how most lures are designed to catch fishermen, not fish.

A piece of tape over the muzzle works well, and you can shoot thru it.

With over 25,000 dyed in the wool gun nut members on the forum and not one response positive or negative I don't think I want to invest in Remington Bore Squeegees.:Bright idea:
